The Naida Haxton Lecture is one of several events coordinated by UQ Law Society for the academic and student community with interests of furthering their legal education.

The lecture is named in honour of Ms Naida Haxton, UQ alumna and the first woman to actively practice at the Queensland Bar. It provides an exciting opportunity to explore and discuss legal advocacy and Queensland legal history with a prominent member of the Judiciary.

The guest speaker for the 2024 event will be the Honourable Justice Frances Williams, Judges of the Trial Division, Supreme Court of Queensland.
