Join us for an insightful afternoon, where we shed light on world elder abuse and tour the unique UQ Healthy Living facility, a first of its kind allied health facility that supports people over fifty years of age to improve health, well-being and function.

Associate Professor Maree Petersen will discuss an increasingly significant societal issue – elder abuse. This event delves into the subject by exploring its definition and prevalence, examining key indicators and contributing factors, and looking into the reasons why older individuals may hesitate to disclose their experiences.

Together, we will explore the diverse range of resources available to support older adults facing abuse, providing practical solutions and empowering individuals to take action. To join us on this exclusive talk and tour, we recommend you register today so you don't miss out.
