Backpack to Briefcase Career Breakfast - August 2009

Seminar Topic:  Enterprise and the Young Entrepreneur - Making the Dream a Reality
Ever wondered what it takes to make your entrepreneurial dreams a reality?  How do you create your own opportunities?

In the second of the 2009 Backpack to Briefcase career breakfast series, Enterprise and the Young Entrepreneur – Making the dream a reality provided key strategies and inspiration for guests, beginning with an emotionally charged true-to-life account from keynote speaker, Alissa Phillips, who shared about her successful entrepreneurial journey. Panel speakers, Michael Rodgers-Bell and Dr Paul Sernia, were equally engaging, espousing the merits of establishing mentoring networks/relationships and useful strategies on commercialising business venture ideas.

The event attracted a mix of postgraduate and undergraduate students, across a wide range of study disciplines. After the panel session, our guests had the opportunity to interact with our panel speakers, which concluded a successful networking event.

Watch out for the next Backpack to Briefcase career breakfast series in 2010.
