The University of Queensland owes much of its excellence in teaching and research to the generosity of people who have bequeathed their bodies to the University upon their death.
People who wish to support research and train the medical and health professionals of the future are able to bequeath their bodies to The University of Queensland through the Body Donation Program or Queensland Tissue Resource Centre.
The most important thing to do, along with registering as a donor, is to discuss this with your immediate family so that they understand and can enact your wishes.
More information about the Body Donation Program can be found here.
