Animal Welfare and Veterinary Work
- Helped found VetCharityOrg (later renamed Vets Beyond Borders) – recently retired as President
- Living in India and overseeing Vet Beyond Border’s activities there as well as developing strategic liaisons with Governments, animal welfare organisations and NGO’s (Voluntary Position)
- Helped establish several animal welfare programs in India with a focus of national dog health, population management and rabies control.
- Helped develop Project Vet Train, a collaboration with the Department of Environment and Forests and Animal Welfare Board of India that delivers post graduate training to 25 Indian animal welfare personnel per month on “The essentials of veterinary technique as applied to animal welfare projects”.
- Volunteered in many wildlife programs, African game reserves on conservation programs, and Australian wildlife rescue programs and clinics.
- Worked with wildlife and domestic animals in veterinary practice in different countries (Africa, UK, India, Bhutan, Australia) over the last 14 years, both in employed and voluntary positions.
