Alumni networks play an active role in the rich community life of UQ by providing social, educational and recreational activities, as well as a chance to stay in touch with former classmates.

Networks can promote the interests of the University and its graduates in many ways, including:

• Organising events for members
• Keeping members abreast of new developments in their professional areas of expertise
• Providing a social network for alumni moving to a new city or country 
• Raising funds for various University projects
• Providing counselling to prospective and current students on career choices
