UQ Alumni Associations or Networks

UQ alumni associations or networks are groups which provide regular opportunities for alumni to engage with each other and the University, for personal and professional reasons.

UQ alumni associations or networks can be initiated by any member of the UQ alumni community or UQ staff, and are usually organised as:
  • regional groups (focusing on alumni in a city, country or region); or
  • faculty, school, discipline or class; or
  • profession; or
  • as Special Interest Groups.
 Generally, UQ alumni associations or networks are actively involved in the following activities:
  • Supporting alumni who wish to keep in touch with each other professionally;
  • Developing networks and continuing education in a profession or discipline;
  • Organising professional, networking and social activities;
  • Communicating alumni views, needs and interests to the University;
  • Mentoring students or other alumni;
  • Offering voluntary assistance to the University with organising events, for example reunions, interstate and overseas receptions; and
  • Representing the University at profiling events.
A number of alumni groups currently exist and are attached to UQ, as well as being located in Australia and around the world.  Click the link below to view all exisiting UQ alumni networks.

Can't find your alumni association or network in this list? Or do you simply want to reconnect with alumni without establishing a formal alumni group?
